Ford Ranger Now Drops Breadcrumbs So You Can Find Your Way Home

Getting lost is always part of the fun when exploring the unpaved path, but finding your way home can sometimes be stressful. Ford is now offering a “breadcrumb” path feature for Ford Ranger drivers, so getting home after their off-road adventure is easier than ever.

The Breadcrumbs feature can be found in Sync 3’s navigation settings. When it is enabled, it will work in the background by dropping virtual pins every second while out on the unpaved path. Once you’re done exploring, the Breadcrumbs feature allows you to follow your virtual steps back home, so you don’t have to stress about finding a landmark to start your trek back home.

The Sync 3’s Satnav Breadcrumbs features uses satellite technology included in Ranger’s navigation system and is available on XLT and Lariat series trucks. Breadcrumbs is also available on other Ford trucks that offer Sync 3 navigation technology.

For those looking for even more off-road capability, the Ford Ranger can be equipped with an FX4 Off-Road Package. This package includes electronic locking rear differential and Terrain Management System with Trail Control.
