The Ford Explorer was first introduced in 1990, reinventing the SUV segment with a family-friendly 4-door model that still possessed typical 4x4 capabilities. Thirty years later, the Explorer continues to adapt to consumer needs, finding new markets, and hitting new milestones. 

 

This January, the eight millionth Explorer was sold, a feat no other SUV can claim as the Explorer remains America’s best-selling SUV.  Part of the Explorer’s current success is due to finding a market for performance SUVs with the Ford Explorer ST.

Ford Offers Opportunity For Apprenticeships And Jobs In Detroit


Since June, Ford launched a new program alongside of local trade unions, the city of Detroit, and Ford’s lead contractors RAM and Christman-Brinker. The goal of this program is to ensure those seniors and recent graduates of vocational skills schools in the area can get the necessary apprenticeships to continue their career-long journey.
